Bon Jou, Mwen Zanmi (Good Day, My Friends),
School is starting for our school (College Evangelique le Lutherien de Ouananminthe) on September 5th. I could sense excitement concerning another school year in the children’s voices in the background and in Rev. Paul’s voice. Of course, there will be added obligations for Rev. Paul and his wife Cliney as school starts.
Ben Wiseman, NEHLM’s Liaison, will be traveling with me this weekend to visit three congregations in Michigan who have been walking with us in this mission (Faith LCMS in Troy, Trinity LCMS in Utica, and Shepherd’s Gate in Shelby Township). On Monday, Ben will go on to Ouanaminthe to begin his service at La Maison des Agneaux de Dieu Orphelinat. You can read more about Ben Wiseman on our webpage Servants of MADO and NEHLM . I asked Rev. Paul if they were ready for him and he responded, “Oh, yes, we are prepared. We will be glad to welcome him.” We pray for God’s direction as we start this new position of a liaison.
Here is a quick update on the pigs. (Note: I often ask about the pigs since swine were my FFA projects in high school.) He said the pigs are doing very well in their pens. “We slaughtered a big one last week and are enjoying the meat. We have four pigs that are for breeding purposes and six that are growing fast that will be for meat.”
