Christ the Lord is Risen. In that joyous news is the assurance of our resurrection.  Appreciate the everlasting life that has begun as a believer in Jesus now and forevermore.

The ministry at La Maison des Agneaux de Dieu Orphilenat (The House of the Lambs of God Orphanage-MADO) continues to be challenged with daily necessities.  I asked Rev. Paul what is the most pressing issue for them at this time. “Food,” he answered quickly.  He went on to explain that his area has received some rain and they are trying to plant.  But, “other areas in Haiti-Port au Prince, Cap Haitian, Jacmal are all getting more rain. We just get a little.  I am not sure of the future with our planting, but we are trying. We only have mangos to harvest and food prices are very expensive.”  I assured Rev. Paul that Nord Est Haiti Lutheran Mission (NEHLM-the sponsoring organization for MADO) will try to provide extra funds for food.  Our treasurer has shared with me that we have been receiving a new donation designated for food for several months.  Every gift is greatly appreciated.

There are several girls that have been needing medical care for their eyes. Some need glasses, others are receiving eye drops.  They have had headaches and sore eyes dealing with their ailments.  Again NEHLM will help as we are able.  Rev. Paul reported that his eyes are doing well.  He does regularly use glasses for reading and wears sunglasses when in the sun.

Even with these challenges, Rev. Paul and his wife  (who was sitting in the room with him during our Skype call) were upbeat.  They send their greetings to all of you and ask for God’s blessings for you.

In Christ,

Rev. Sam Wiseman
