“Praise God from Whom all blessings flow!” The ministry in Ouanaminthe, Haiti had an 18 member medical mission team visit them last week. They departed on Monday. About 1000 people were served with medical care by this team. They even took a couple of the doctors and support staff for two days to the church plant in Baja. This is a prime example of Christians walking together to do the Lord’s work. The mission was organized by Trinity LCMS of Utica, Michigan, God bless them in their efforts. This type of action is what “synod” is about.
We appreciate all mission teams as they bring the proclamation ministry of Jesus Christ and His saving work and serve in a variety of ways. Teams have served with construction labor, education, and medical care as they also serve with faith in Jesus Christ being provided with opportunities to work along side Rev. Paul with proclamation ministry. Faith Lutheran in La Grande has a team that is going in June of 2015 and are looking forward to serving the Lord through serving people (Matthew 25).
Cliney and Abigail (Rev. Paul’s wife and new daughter) will be coming to Boston to be with Cliney’s sister and for Abigail to receive a routine check-up. Rev. Paul reported, “Abigail is doing well; she wants to stand up, and she has two teeth.” We are delighted for the Paul’s as they have the four biological children and care for the close to 70 orphans. It is delightful to see youth being brought up in the knowledge of the Lord.
Blessed Lenten Season to you,
Rev. Sam Wiseman
