Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
When I talked with Rev. Paul I asked, “Are you ready to travel?” He paused for a moment and then responded, “Oh, not yet, there are some preparations I am still working on, but not that much I will be ready by next week.” Rev Paul is making his bi-yearly trip to the USA. We have been blessed to be able to have him make trips every two years for the past decade. This personal contact with some of the missions supporters is very beneficial. However, when he is gone from the mission site there are some challenges. We are very delighted with the responsible people who have learned to take on delegated tasks. I asked about the “business” of the ministry while he was gone and he responded, “Oh they will do very well.”
The country of Haiti has been receiving large amounts of rain. The last three days of October had continual rain, which caused a lot of flooding. Then on November 4th and 5th they receiving another rain storm. “There is a lot of flooding Cap Haitian (about 30 miles away), around Ouanaminthe (site of MADO), and in DaJaBon (the Dominican Republic border town to Ouanaminthe). Four people died in Cap Haitian and a total of 8 recorded deaths of Haitians due to the floods. It has been very intense. The gardens are flooded and there will be a lot of work to get done,” reported Rev. Paul.
Rev. Paul is scheduled to be in Nashville, TN November 18-24 to meet with supporters the Trinity Hope Feeding Program who provides the school meal on a daily basis. He will be at Lamb of God LCMS in Lake Stevens, WA November 14-18. Please keep his travels in your prayers as well as those at the ministry assuming extra responsibilities while his gone. Let us also lift up those who are dealing with the effects of the heavy rain storms.
Thank you for your interest and support of this ministry.
