Greetings in the Name of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Let us all be able to proclaim “Here I stand” according the truth of His Word in which He calls us to abide. Those are some thoughts of a Lutheran pastor as we approach the 197 anniversary of Martin Luther posting the 95 Theses on the Wittenburg church door on the hallowed evening before All Saints Day--November first. The ministry of Rev. Daniel Paul in Ouanaminthe, Haiti, is providing the truth of the Word of God to many dear souls who are also being equipped to proclaim “Here I stand.” Praise God!
I noticed on a weather report that Florida was dealing with heavy rain and flooding, so when I called Rev. Paul this week, I asked if they were also receiving heavy rains. He responded, “No, we have not been getting rain. It has been very comfortable here in Haiti.” He often promotes the positive “comfortable” weather of Haiti; it is the Caribbean. He reported that everyone is “doing very well,” for which we are thankful.
Rev. Paul is also very busy with family, church, school, construction, and agriculture. All these endeavors are moving along fairly well. As the funds are received, he plans to continue work on the plumbing of the school and on some further classrooms. We thank God for supportive people as they (you) walk along with us in this ministry to bring God’s truth and necessities to many dear souls.
A reminder: Rev. Paul will be in the United States this November. His schedule is Nashville, Tennessee, with the Trinity Feeding Program that provides meals for the school (including our orphans). He will then go to Lamb of God LCMS in Lake Stevens, Washington, November 15-18.
God’s truth and peace,
